One sees them again at every street corner - signs advertising the purchase of gold. "Old gold is cash" or "Purchase your old gold for the best price". Walch Recycling can enlighten you on this matter, as a specialist in the purchase of precious metals, jewellery and coins. Receive a factual insight so that you can sell in the future equipped with the relevant knowledge.
Not everybody who purchases precious metals (tooth gold, old gold, silver, coins etc.) has the intention of giving you a fair deal. There is guessing and haggling just like at a bazaar. Even if you go home with the impression that you got the best deal: At a bazaar the seller always wins.
Walch Recycling will purchase your gold and precious metals in a fair manner. Therefore the following tips are not only a matter of course but have topmost priority with us.
Be sure to take this into account during a sale
Make sure you are given the current daily prices (e.g. for refined gold)
Compensation is always for the fine gold content (e.g. your pieces of jewellery). A good dealer can give you this information precisely. 585s gold means that there is a content of 58.5 per cent of refined gold (for example if you sell 100 grams of jewellery then you receive compensation for 58.5 grams of refined gold. The remaining weight is a combination of other metals, stones or in tooth gold also quantities of ceramics.)
Very frequently there are "collector's items". Mostly the ideal weight cannot be compensated. A mean average value which is acceptable for both purchaser and seller should nevertheless be found.
Never send any precious metals to somebody who has not convinced you of their seriousness. Walch Recycling for example offers you the possibility to be present at all steps of the procedure of value determination (weighing, melting, spectrum analysis > more information about it).If you trust the dealer there is always the possibility to use the purchase by post option another time.
Always demand a purchase receipt. In this manner you are safe because a purchase contract takes place according to the BGB. This piece of evidence must contain the entire purchaser's information as well as your own.
The payment of small sums is usually in cash or by cheque.
