For the first time since 01.09.2007 Lars Walch Gmbh & Co. KG is instructing in the profession of "qualified employee for recycling and waste management". This profession is mainly being taught in recycling enterprises since 2002.
There are four fields of study for this job outline besides the general, common basis education:
Qualified employee for sewage technology
Qualified employee for water supply technology
Qualified employee for pipe, channel and industry service
Qualified employee for circulation and waste management
This is based on the ordinance dated 17.06.2002 regarding vocational training in environmental engineering professions.
The trainees do the practical education in their own business. The training is completed by doing numerous traineeships in different recycling or waste disposal facilities, on dumps, in waterworks or in sewage plants. The school education is carried out during so-called teaching by topics in the vocational school in Lauingen.
A large part of the lesson is used for the technical area alongside the general subjects like German, mathematics, social studies and sports. Subjects such as operations technology, scientific basics, machinery and equipment engineering, environmental analytics, electrical engineering and water supply technology, are part of the teaching curriculum.
After 3 years of training the examination is taken at the IHK in Nuremberg. The trainee must pass a theoretical, a practical and an oral examination.
Since the demand for qualified employees is particularly high, this specialist training course will be used to attract junior members for the disposal industry.
These employees have a very wide basic knowledge in comparison to so-called "crossways beginners" and can get used to their new task area very quickly after being employed by a waste disposal company.
Large and medium-sized enterprises from the production trade must employ an increasing number of specialist staff because of high waste quantities. Here the profession of "qualified employee for recycling and waste management" is suitable due in particular to the broad specialized knowledge.
Moreover, these employees are frequently appointed "waste representatives" or "environmental representatives".
